The Township of Schreiber offers a variety of indoor and outdoor rental spaces for private functions. Our facilities are affordable, clean and located right in your community.

If you are planning to host a birthday party, dance or a meeting we have the space for you.

The Municipal Complex Gym can host many different sporting tournaments such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, pickleball, floor hockey, indoor soccer, to name a few. The gym also has a stage that has been used for dance performances and theater programs.

The Township of Schreiber takes great pride in being home to the North Shore’s largest ice arena. When not being used for competition, the ice is being used for practices and rentals.

Rental Application

The Rental Application  is to be returned to the Municipal Complex during office hours or faxed to (807) 824-3231. No facility is officially booked until a contract is signed and returned (if necessary), and appropriate payment has been received, written confirmation is returned to you, or you are notified by our staff.

Alcohol

If you are planning to host an event at a Township of Schreiber Facility and serve alcohol, there are a number of steps you must follow. Our Municipal Alcohol Policy has all the information you need.

Smoking

The Smoke-Free Ontario Act prohibits smoking in all enclosed public places, including all municipal recreation facilities. Township of Schreiber by-laws further prohibit smoking anywhere on the Recreation Complex property. Contraventions are subject to fines as outlined in the Smoke-Free Ontario Act.
