About the Committee

The Schreiber Accessibility Committee supports the Township’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and barrier-free community. The committee plays an advisory role to Council, helping ensure that municipal policies, services, facilities, and programs are accessible to everyone, including individuals with disabilities.

We are currently seeking applications from community members to join the Schreiber Accessibility Committee. If you are passionate about accessibility and want to make a difference in your community, we encourage you to apply.

👥 Committee Composition

The Accessibility Committee is made up of 7 members, including:

      • 2 Council Members
      • 1 Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) Member
      • 1 Municipal Staff Member
      • 3 Community Members

The majority of the committee must consist of individuals with disabilities, in accordance with accessibility legislation and best practices.
